I have been asked if my family approves of what I post on our blog. The answer to this is very easy because I read every post before I publish it. My family must all approve or I will not publish the blog post. I feel it important for us all to agree since this is a window into our lives. When I write about our marriage or about Vince directly, I speak to them separately to verify they are comfortable.
When I write about friends or family, I will ask permission before blogging about them or posting a picture. I feel that even though I maybe okay with this, it is not a guarantee that everyone will be okay with it.
My suggestion for anyone that is posting on social media or blogging about friends and loved ones, it is critical that you verify that everyone is on the same page. The most important thing is that everyone is comfortable with sharing with others. It is crucial that everyone’s opinion is valued and appreciated at all times.
